Safety and container technology
Professional safety and container technology for your business
The handling of hazardous substances, flammable liquids, solvents, acids and alkalis places the highest demands on safety in day-to-day operations. Even minor lapses in attention during filling, storage or transport can pose a significant risk to people and the environment. Without professional and approved systems, there is a risk not only of serious accidents and fires in the event of an emergency, but also of severe legal consequences. Our certified safety containers, filling systems and transport solutions offer companies in industry, the skilled trades and logistics a reliable solution for the safe handling of hazardous substances.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions on Safety and Container Technology
Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about LaCont’s safety and container technology
Which materials are suitable for the storage and filling of corrosive substances such as acids and alkalis?
For aggressive media such as acids and alkalis, it is best to use corrosion-resistant containers made of polyethylene (PE) or high-grade stainless steel (e.g. V4A), as these offer high chemical resistance.
How can accidental fire outbreaks be prevented in safety canisters or solvent containers?
Our safety containers are fitted with integrated stainless steel flame arresters and thermomechanical self-closing systems, which effectively suppress fires and spontaneous combustion inside the container and prevent flames from escaping.
What are the benefits of automatic pressure relief valves on safety vessels?
In the event of intense heat or the formation of vapours, automatic pressure relief valves prevent a dangerous, uncontrolled build-up of pressure in the container by releasing the pressure in a controlled manner.
